I don’t remember, when was the last time I watch a musical. Could it be because I’ve never been to one. All starts with a door. You enter into a huge and amazing theatre and there it comes, the magic. You see people clapping, standing up, and shouting! This is the big end of a great performance.

Billy Elliot (Ali Rasul) is a young boy of 11 years old. He lives in England with his dad (Deka Walmsley), his brother Tony (Kevin Wathen) and grandma (Ann Emery). His mum is dead but he loved her a lot. His dad is a miner who is on strike. Billy has a huge secret. Since his mum died, he’s been boxing for his dad satisfaction. He rather prefer dancing, It’s his passion. Billy meets his ballet teacher, Ms. Wilkinson. She teaches him all what she knows, so he could enter to the royal ballet school. Would he make it? Does he have enough to give?

There’s always an outstanding actor in a play. For this play we may say that was Ali Rasul (Billy Elliot). With only 12 years old this boy can dance and sing with the experience of a man of 30. Some people may think that I choose him because he is the protagonist, but no. I could have chosen anyone in the play like grandma or dad. The reason I choose him is because he is at the same level as everyone, being 20 or 40 years younger. He can improve, from here to 10 years more maybe he could be in Broadway being known all around the world. Unfortunately, having good actors, means that there are some who are not surprising, in this case, the ballet girls. Why? Its not because they are bad, it’s because as a group, to be at the same level as other actors, they need to be more coordinated.

They ask if I liked or not the musical. The thing is I don’t. It’s more than that. I love it. It was a new feeling… my heart beat with the beat of the drums. It was amazing! Mi favourite part was when Billy danced with big Billy. I think it showed in one scene, the hole idea of the musical. Suddenly Billy flying, it was a whole new experience.

This musical give us a very important lesson. Everyone is different and that’s okay. Follow your dream no matter why, cause life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about CREATING yourself. With this musical I think people will learn to respect other peoples dreams and ideas.

I think this musical is good for all the family. I would recommend it for PG-Parental Guidance Suggested. Some Material May Not Be Suitable For Children perhaps this musical is very interesting and I would recommend it for all the audience.

Rating: to this musical I will give 5 out of 5 points.
